open to all dancers entering grades 8-12

TECHNIQUE WORKSHOPS
June 8-12, June 15-18, June 22-25
+ July 21-23
During June and July, all dancers are strongly encouraged to attend the technique and conditioning workshops offered at Eastview High School. These classes are run by LDT coaches, as well as professional master class and guest instructors. On June 8th, all summer training members will attend class together from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. After June 8th, coaches will assist dancers in determining the appropriate level and class/training time they should attend. This is a great way to prepare for the season by building strength, flexibility, and technique. For new dancers, it is also an opportunity to learn the dance team style.
JFK DANCE CAMP
July 12-15
This summer, the Lightning Dance Team will be returning to a four-day JFK camp to support the unique goals of the 2026-2027 season
JFK camp will include daily technique and conditioning sessions, team-building activities, leadership development and daily choreography classes. Dancers will stay overnight in Brainerd with the rest of team.
The cost of the camp includes lodging, all classes (4 per day), all meals, bus transportation to and from camp, and covers the cost of attending coaches. The bus will depart Eastview on Sunday, July 12 at approximately 7:30 am. The bus will return to Eastview on Wednesday, July 15 at approximately 5 pm. Camp is a fun and an important way for the team to bond and build their skills during the summer before the official season starts in August. Note: Coaches will be attending camp as chaperones and will follow the bus, in order to have a car available in case of an emergency
